Sex in History

Early Rubber Condom What do condoms and car tires have in common? Well, they were both invented by the same English entrepreneur.

In 1844, Charles Goodyear invented rubber, and soon his company was mass-producing rubber condoms. These were very expensive, and customers were told to wash them out after use so they could be re-used. Also, they were so thick that it was probably like having a garden hose on your penis during sex – not a lot of fun.

Over the years, thinner rubber condoms were developed, but it wasn't until the invention of Latex in the 1930's that men got that lovin' feeling again. And, in case you're wondering, the reservoir tip was added in 1950 by inventor Stanley Penska. He figured out that giving the semen someplace to go would cut down on breakage. It works.

Hot Stuff Sex Toy

Liberator Wedge "Liberator Shapes" are actually a collection of various-shaped , velvety soft pillows. Because of the different angles that are available, these would be especially good for people with bad backs, with disabilities or for people who are obese. Or they are just plain fun for anyone.

The Liberator Shapes come in four versions - a small wedge (it fits under the bed handily); a ramp; a rectangular stage; and a cube. They are extremely well made in the U.S. and each has its own nylon storage bag. The velvet-like fabric stops the pieces from sliding around when you stack them. Very clever.

For example, in "woman on top" sex, the male would place the wedge under his hips, raising his pelvis for a more comfortable ride. For rear entry on a female, the woman would lie face down with her hips over the wedge, raising her tush for easier access to the vagina.

The only dumb product of the lot is the cube-shaped one. I mean, why? Cheaper to sit on the sofa.

Other than that, on our HOT STUFF HIBACHI OF LOVE, this product rates four sizzling briquets.

Sue's Mini Review

Of all the books on lesbian lifestyle, this is the best. THE WHOLE LESBIAN SEX BOOK by FELICE NEWMAN, published by Cleis Press is a wonderful resource. I found a beautiful section on female masturbation, but there is a chapter on communication with a partner - boy, we could all use that. Great book for the interested.
