make the sex last longer. You should have told him to have his lover
wrap his hand around the base to keep from popping the bowel.

Thanks for the input. Yes, Sue has this delusion that masturbating prior to sex will make a penis 'smaller' second time around. I think that is standard thinking in sexual therapy education. However, it certainly hasn't been my experience, nor that of others, as you point out. I suppose it may make the penis less firm initially, but when the action begins, it generally perks up. Wrapping your hand, or your partner's hand, around the base of the penis is a good, practical way to shorten the depth of thrust.Randy
