Am I possibly allergic to latex??

Okay, I have a question. I've only had sex with two partners, but I've been starting to have an issue with my inner lips of my vagina becoming slightly itchy and red after intercourse. With my first partner, we used various styles of latex condoms, and I never had this problem. With my current partner, at first I never had this problem, and we've also tried different styles of condoms, but lately, I've been having some itching and slightly red, rash-like areas on my inner lips. Its very strange because there is sometimes a tiny bit of bleeding, also. At first, I thought it could be that we use condoms that have a lot of ribs, but we tried a regular, non-ribbed condom, and it had the same effect. The sex is still good, but the after effect is kinda aggravating. In my opinion, we have what I call "cute" sex. We don't go all crazy and rough, so I'm not exactly sure what causes this, but I did know someone who was allergic to latex, and it seemed like it could be a possibility. I understand that you guys aren't doctors, but advice is always nice. Thank you so much, and I love the show and the message board. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments. You could be allergic to latex - many people are - but the first thing to consider is what lubricant is on the condoms you are using? Is it spermicidal? If so, that it contains N-9, which is an ingredient infamous for causing vaginal irritation. If that is not the problem, then try a polyurethane condom and see if that helps. And if that don't work, see your doctor.
