Inability to ejaculate

Posted by L. on May 06, 2008 at 06:35:10:

My husband what put on a antidepresant for panic attacks and he was fine with the starting out dosage. However when they moved him to a higher dosage he has been going for hours, with out being able to ejaculate. we have tried movies, toys, everything we can thing of and nothing works, He can't even masterbate and ejaculate, it is like 4-5 hours straight and then we give up I can't take that much lovemaking. Is this normal with antidepresnats? The good thing is the erection will go away but he is left flusterated and so am I, because I feel unable to please him.. please help us

"Flusterated". What a fantastic misspelling. You've created a perfect new word that I will add to my vocabulary! Yes, anti-depressants are notorious for causing this Delayed Ejaculation problem. There are many different types of anti-depressants, and he should talk with his doctor about changing medications. There may be one that affects his sexual functions less. Often, it's a hit-or-miss procedure to find the right one.
