Crying before possible orgasm?

Posted by M. on May 07, 2008 at 06:59:20:

Hi, I'm sure you've recieved questions somewhat similar to this but after browsing a bit I didn't see any questions/answers that satisfied me about my problem...so here I go!

I'm a 20/f and I've never had an orgasm..yeah, poor me, I know! But the thing is...I do have a build up when I stimulate my clitoris...and I do cum sometimes...but I'm sure its not an orgasm...my thing is if its an orgasm you should just KNOW, there shouldn't be any question...so I'm certain its not an orgasm...unless mine are tiny...because I've seen others react to theirs and my little thing is NOTHING compared to theirs...I do have this build up and I do know when I'm gonna cum and I do..and then its over with..but its nothing AMAZING..and I can have these "mini orgasms" as I like to call them pretty frequently...so I'm asking what is this? And what's going on? I insist I can't orgasm but I think I've come close...not POSITIVE though...Because how would I know I haven't had one? But when I'm penetrated I feel like I'm losing control...and then I eventually start crying..and then I fricken start laughing because I'm like "what am I doing" So its a huge mess...but I feel like I'm losing control, plus I'm crying, so I just make them stop...I don't know if I have some kinda anxiety about possibly finally orgasming or what but man, this is getting old! Please help! Thanks!

If you are masturbating and actually cumming, then you are having an orgasm. Since everyone is different, your body may not produce cosmic orgasms like the kind you see in porno movies. (Although, those guys really go over the top, obviously!) You can talk with your doctor about this, but there is a condition called 'anorgasmia' where a woman cannot achieve orgasm from intercourse at all. Your lack of sensation may be related to this. As for crying - and laughing - this is a fairly common side-effect of intense sexual stimulation for women. It has something to do with the tensing of muscles during sex. All the nerve-endings are in high gear, and the brain fires off some ersatz messages, like you would get in any electrical overload. These messages cause various inappropriate responses, such as laughing, crying, headaches, loss of hearing, and even catatonia. I have witnessed the latter in person with a partner who would be totally paralyzed for some time after orgasm. Very freaky. Talk with your doctor about that problem, too. I think it's treated with muscle relaxants.
