A woman's lack of moisture or ejaculate during orgasm

Posted by K. on May 11, 2008 at 06:42:19:

I was a virgin until I was 36 years old and I must say I am quite proud of that fact despite the riddicule. I am now 38 and involved in a wonderful relationship with my current boyfriend. When we have sex, and or during either oral sex and masturbation, I know that I orgasm sometimes 2 and 3 times; however I do not secrete any vaginal fluids, ejaculate, cum etc during orgasm and often times dry out during intercourse after orgasming. My question is this...is it normal for a woman not to have ejaculate when orgasming and other than using a lubricant what can I do to maintain moisture during intercourse? I must admit that not having ejaculate makes me feel broken and that I am letting my boyfriend down, however he assures me that he can tell I orgasm and thats all that matters to him. Its just that there is sooo much hype and praise given to women who squirt and produce a lot of ejaculate that as a woman its easy to feel inadequate.

I'd appreciate any comments or feedback you might have. Thanks!

First of all, you didn't buy into the 'losing your virginity' hype; don't buy into the 'females must squirt' campaign either! Not all women produce G-spot fluid, period. The images of women erupting in geysers of fluid cater to a male fantasy. Men are accustomed to seeing fluid shoot out of their bodies, and - with their usual juvenile preoccupations - want to see their "woman" do it, too. It is physical proof that they are a good lover - i.e. it boosts their own egos. (Boys will be boys, and men will be boys, as my mother used to say.) All that matters TO YOU is that you have great orgasms. Who's going to complain about that?! As for lubrication, at your age, it is natural to be dry. You are going to have to use artificial lubes. Spend the money and get good silicone lubes. They last far longer and feel far more natural.
