Actually, they say that Hepatitis B vaccinations can be good for life in some people, and last only for several years in others. I work in the healthcare field, where it is highly recommended to have the Hepatitis B vaccine. Last I checked, there is no set time that is it good, as it varies by individual but for many people you only need to have the 3 part series once.
Anyone who wants to know if they need to be vaccinated, again, or not, can have bloodwork down.. a titer for hepatitis B to check the level. They can tell by that if you need to be vaccinated, again.
I've had a titer drawn a few times to check the level and it has always been good. I;ve not had to be vaccinated, again, yet and it has been over 15 years since I have had the vaccine.
It doesn't hurt, though, to check withe the health department or CDC to get thier official word.
